Thank you for completing our Expression of Interest for the 2025 season.
We are really excited by the incredible number of people who want to be a part of the club this year.
All communications will go out via SPOND: https://group.spond.com/OKDGX
Upcoming Headlines:
- Open Tour 1: Sign Up Closes on Monday 10th March
- Mixed Tour 1 (Uni Fans): Will be released to Mixed Invite Squad in first instance.
- Additional Weekend Session: 29th March – Details to be released via SPOND when confirmed
Topic 1: Tournament Sign Up
Slightly differently this year, we will be running all of our event sign ups on SPOND.
Sign up for each event will be made and you will be invited to demonstrate your availability by clicking attending on the event.
In the description of each event will be
- Deadline to sign up
- When selection will be announced
- The way that teams will be split (assuming there is more than one team entered)
- Expected cost per player
We aim to enter 2 teams to all events this year (if numbers allow), these will be a mix of 1st and 2nd teams and balanced teams to reach the desired goal.
Some mixed tournaments will be offered to those in the mixed invite squad in this instance, sign up will still happen via the SPOND.
Topic 2: Invite Training
- There will be a few closed squad trainings throughout the season, these are designed to allow for more targeted training ahead of major events. Such as providing a gender split to allow high quality focussed mixed training within the correct ratios.
- These training sessions are designed to be additional to regular weekly sessions and will not count as a replacement for those hoping to compete with the club in '25.
Topic 3: Mixed Invite Squad
This year to improve clarity, a closed training squad will be selected for those players who are hoping to compete in the mixed division with Lemmings this year. Due to capacity restrictions, these sessions are limited and will be by invitation to ensure gender ratios can be maintained.
The first Mixed Invite Training is on Saturday 15th March with Scrimmages on Sunday 16th March. Invitations for these events will go out via the SPOND over this coming weekend.
Following this first training, a closed squad will be announced. [We understand that we were hoping to release the closed squad by this weekend, however due to the regular changes of training venue, some players have not been able to regularly attend practice and therefore require additional opportunity to demonstrate their case for inclusion within the mixed training squad.
Topic 4: Kit
Last year we redesigned the kit which we will be using for at least the 2025 and 2026 seasons.
If you would like to order the details on how you can do so are available on the order form:

FAQ:
Is there a trial?
There is no individual trial, as announced in the season plan we are currently in a trialling period. The result of this period will be a set of invitational sessions that are aimed at developing players through division specific training.
What are the training expectations?
- The club's focus will be on weekly training for individual development, building team cohesion, and the roll out of season tactics.
- All players who intend to compete with Lemmings in '25 are expected to make reasonable efforts to attend weekly training on a regular basis.
- Players who are regularly training with the club will be eligible for selection at events.
How are teams selected?
- Teams will be selected based on the sign ups for events as registered on the SPOND.
- Teams are selected based on attitude, performance, and attendance at weekly and invitational trainings.
I am playing for another team, is it possible to train with Lemmings?
Yes! Lemmings trainings are open to all for the full season, we will not restrict players from attending if they are playing for another team. We hope to provide competitive and development focussed training all year.
Can I play with Lemmings if I am rostered to another team?
Yes!- Any players who regularly attends training with the club will be eligible for selection at un-rostered events, regardless of their playing commitment for the remainder of the season.
I cannot train on a weeknight, is it still possible for me to be involved with the club?
Yes!- While we do prioritise developing local Ultimate, if you cannot attend weeknight training for whatever reason then you are still very welcome to join us for our weekend events and continue to sign up for our tournaments.
While we may prioritise those who have greater attendance there will be still be plenty of opportunity for you to engage with the club at internal and external events.
What are the club priorities?
- Training - Provide regular opportunity for high quality training for the full player base.
- Competition - Provide suitable interclub and intraclub competition for all members at an appropriate level.
- Performance - Compete at the highest level aiming to peak at UKU Nationals and EUCF
